As the Superintendent of Schools for Lamar CISD, let me be the first to officially welcome you to our District! Lamar CISD may be the fastest-growing district in the state of Texas, but what makes our community so special is that no matter how many people join our community, the “small town, family feel” always remains. It ’s remarkable how much history, tradition and camaraderie you’ll find in these 385 square miles. It ’s definitely no surprise why so many individuals want to call our community “home.” To maintain our family feel, we ensure that our campuses are designed with smaller enrollments. In doing so, our students are provided with more opportunities to take on leadership roles and participate in campus activities. As a result , Lamar CISD is a destination district that continues to add more than 2,000 students each year. Here in Lamar CISD, student learning and growth is at the center of all efforts. Our Lamar CISD family works tirelessly to provide our students with engaging programs and real-world learning experiences. From innovative academics and student support systems, to our award-winning athletics and fine arts programs, Lamar CISD commits to shaping and cultivating the whole child.
