C aldwell Trust Company announced its collaboration and sponsorship with Project TEACH, an initiative of the Manatee Chamber of Commerce dedicated to enriching educational opportunities for local students. As part of this collaboration, Sheryl Vieira, vice president of Marketing and Communications at Caldwell Trust Company, recently engaged fourth-grade students at Abel Elementary School in an enlightening talk about careers in communications and marketing. Project TEACH’s commitment to providing students with insights into various career paths aligns seamlessly with Caldwell Trust Company’s dedication to community engagement and education. By partnering with Project TEACH, Caldwell Trust Company aims to inspire students and equip them with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue careers in diverse fields. During the session, Vieira shed light on the exciting opportunities available in marketing and communications, emphasizing the importance of creativity, adaptability and strategic thinking in these professions. Drawing from her own experiences, Vieira shared insights into the dynamic nature of the industry and highlighted the diverse roles and responsibilities within communications and marketing careers. Vieira also provided a glimpse into Caldwell Trust Company’s operations, including its recent celebration of the 30th anniversary and the enduring legacy of its founder, Roland Caldwell. “Being able to inspire students and share my passion for marketing and communications through Project TEACH has been truly fulfilling,” Vieira said. “It’s essential for students to explore various career options and understand the skills needed to succeed in their chosen paths.” Vieira also emphasized the importance of ongoing learning and professional development in the field of communications and marketing, mentioning her new endeavor through the Sunshine Community Trust. As a community bank, we strive to partner with and improve our local community. We strongly believe in Lake Tech’s mission and look forward to assisting them in completing it through this grant.” The more than $38,000 grant will be administered and distributed by Lake Technical College based on stringent criteria. Lake Tech offers a wide variety of technical programs that range in cost from between $1,000 to $6,500. This is an annual grant that will support dozens of Lake Tech students in the coming years.
