The new permanent exhibit will showcase Medal of Honor Recipient Captain Larry Taylor’s story of courage and sacrifice, that occurred on June 18, 1968, during the Vietnam War. The exhibit features immersive displays, histori cal artifacts and a full-sized replica of the late Captain Taylor’s AH-1G Cobra heli copter along with life-sized sculptures of the heroic men involved in this Medal of Honor action by renowned artist Alex Tisch of Kodiak Studios in Brooklyn, NY.

Opened in February 2020, the Coolidge National Medal of Honor Heritage Center is situated in the heart of the birthplace of the Medal of Honor — Chattanooga, Tennessee. This incredible exhibit truly preserves Captain Taylor’s legacy and will become a critical part of our educational programs that strives to teach the six character values (Patriotism, Citizenship, Courage, Integrity, Sacrifice and Commitment) and inspire the leaders of tomorrow for years to come. The public program for Saturday, March 29, will begin with a special dedication ceremony for the Bricks of Honor, scheduled to start at 11 AM.
