T his fall, the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum invites adventure-seekers and family explorers alike to experience the wonder of Rails, Wizards & Spells —a spellbinding train adventure where fantasy and vintage rail charm collide. From September 27 through October 31, 2025, guests step through an Enchanted Forest into the whimsical Wizards Way Vil lage, where handcrafted wands, spellbinding charms, and seasonal treats await—plus hayrides, delightfully new this year. Once at Platform 4½, your magical voyage begins. Throughout the one-hour ride, enjoy meet-and-greet moments with Professor Americus Hillmore, photo opportunities on board, and immersive storytelling. At Chamberlain Crossing Station, the enchantment continues: witness a potions-making demonstration, watch the locomotive being turned on the historic turntable, and browse for more wiz ard-themed souvenirs before returning to Grand Junction. For an elevated experience, opt for the Spells & Potions Spe cial-Tea, a 75-minute foray into wizardly indulgence. Enjoy sweet and savory delicacies paired with fresh-baked scones, alongside
your train ride and full access to Wizards Way Village. These tea experiences are available multiple afternoons between September 27 and October 31, 2025. But the fall fun doesn’t stop with magic. TVRM continues to offer its beloved Missionary Ridge Local, a 65-minute journey departing Grand Junction that crosses four bridges, traverses a pre-Civil War tunnel (built in 1858), and features a live turntable demonstration and a peek into the restoration shop. Looking for a full-day escape? The Summerville Steam Special takes you through scenic autumn vistas into Georgia, with a relax ing layover and optional onboard dining—especially stunning as the leaves peak. Or journey to history on the Chickamauga Turn, a 6-hour round-trip to the historic Civil War town—complete with a 90-minute break for exploring Crawfish Springs, Gordon-Lee Mansion, and lunch aboard.
