Escapees November-December 2022

Message From The Board Another Year to Remember By MELANIE CARR #8, Escapees RV Club Vice President and Co-Chief Executive O ffi cer

Community on the Road Community is at the heart of everything we do at Escap ees. By the time we ring in the new year, Escapees will have hosted 35 events bringing approximately 4,500 members together between Escapade, HOPs, Hang outs and Xscapers Convergences. That’s a lot of new friendships being made! Of course, these would not be possible without our event directors, hosts and support staff, so, we owe them all a huge round of applause. It truly takes a lot of time and energy to make the event programs a success. We’ve also continued to bring RVers together and provide virtual opportunities. This March we hosted the second Rethinking Remote Work Conference and, during the fi rst week of November, we’ll be hosting a fully virtual Career Fair!

Is it just me or can you smell pumpkin spice in the air? It’s hard to believe we are en tering the holiday season and getting ready to close the door on 2022. While many of you may be making your way south for the snowbird season, others may be getting ready for long-term stays near their loved ones. The beauty of the RVing lifestyle is that you can move your home on wheels to wherever you want (or need) to be! For us here at Escapees, we spend the end of year planning for what’s to come, but also take the time to re fl ect on the year that’s past. It’s an annual tradition of ours to celebrate the club’s accomplishments and recognize our sta ff for all the hard work they’ve put into making this year a success.
