Message From The Board Journeying Through Time By TRAVIS CARR #8, Escapees RV Club President

Advocacy Escapees RV Club has a history of watching new legislation, laws, practices and policies that could be detrimental to RVers, and we will seek action when necessary. In the begin ning of February, these ongoing efforts would continue when we became

Thus far, 2023 has been what I can only imagine as being aboard the starship USS Enterprise, following Captain Picard’s sig nature command, “Engage!” L ike some sort of weird space or sci- fi odyssey, future news for us is already in the past for you, and our recent news has now become what could seem like old news. Because, by the time this magazine issue makes its journey though time and into your hands, Escapade will have already taken place over a month ago! But, at the time this article is being drafted, Xscapers Annual Bash concluded only a month and a half ago and Escapade is less than a couple of weeks away. Of course, Escapees doesn’t, and can’t, take full responsibility. We are also thankful for the legislators and the other organizations in the industry who acted and played a roll in killing these bills. In case you didn’t know, signing up for Escapees Club News e-mail will keep you up to date with our “Advocacy Alerts” or any related updates. Addition ally, you can always check escapees.com/bene fi ts/ rv-advocacy for the status of any ongoing or recent issues, as well as view a full historical advocacy timeline for the club for those interested. But we can’t do this alone, as it would be impossible to stay on top of all the issues all the time. This is why you will also fi nd a form on the website to submit issues to keep us apprised as part of a collaborative effort from every one to protect RVers rights.
