Every H Moser watch is built and finished by hand, with all movements manufactured in-house

For those in the know, it takes just a glance at an incredible sunburst fumé dial to recognize it as the work of H Moser & Cie. The independent Swiss brand — known not only for impeccable craftsmanship but also for being a bit of an enfant terrible for its antics, such as poking fun at the industry by making spoof watches — has mastered the art form. Fumé dials in its Concept pieces lack both logos and indexes, as adding them would detract from the dial’s beauty. This year, H Moser deemed something worthy of interrupting its dial: the Endeavour Tourbillon Concept showcases a 60-second flying tourbillon at 6 o’clock, housed in a steel case. Pairing steel with a tourbillon is classic H Moser: irreverent and provocative. This new in-house movement features a module tourbillon, which allows for easier servicing, as it is regulated independently from the rest of the movement and can be removed. It has a three-day power reserve and uses a double flat hairspring for improved accuracy. The firm also introduced a new color to the fumé dials in its Venturer collection. Blue Lagoon, a dreamy aqua, recalls the ocean in the tropics. Also in its Concept series, it has a clean dial with only the hour and minute hands. The white gold makes an especially striking contrast. Endeavour Tourbillon Concept, limited to 20 pieces, $63,000, Venturer Concept Blue Lagoon, limited to 20 pieces each in white and red gold, $24,400.
