BOMBARDIER GLOBAL 8000 When Bombardier’s Global 8000 launches in the second half of 2025, it will claim a combination of range and speed hitherto unmatched. With the ability to fl y at Mach 0.94 — or traverse 8,000 nm on a single hop, such as from the West Coast of the US to Dubai — the Global 8000 secures a place for those seeking to fl y further and faster, staying ahead of the competition in a number of ways. The numbers don’t always add up to an airplane in which you want to spend long journeys. However, with advancements in its architecture and appointments — including the Smooth Flex Wing, mating a high-speed wing with a high-lift section — the Global 8000 irons out the bumps, even at its blazing top speeds. From the Global 7500, Bombardier brings in the Nuage seat, which intersects luxury relaxation with engineered design, moving with the passenger to fi nd the most ergonomic position. The tilt-link system reclines further on a fl oating base for fl uid positioning — all on a trackless footprint. Plus, a tilted headrest allows the occupant to fi nd the optimal angle to rest their head, no matter the seat’s position. Other cabin elements include the Pur Air system, which incorporates HEPA fi lter technology, and lighting that follows your natural circadian rhythms so that you arrive rested and refreshed from the journey. Sustainably sourced eucalyptus wood and upcycled wool have also been incorporated into the interior options. Indeed, from the 7500, Bombardier also carries on the pedigree of that model’s Environmental Product Declaration (EPD), the fi rst business jet to achieve this. “We had to dedicate a full-time internal team of
Global 7500 jet uses the latest technology to lower fuel burn and emissions when compared to its peers. The Global 8000 will be powered by these engines too, and information about the environmental performance of this aircraft will be publicly available to consult in its respective
experts to the development of standardizable key metrics, data gathering, validation and analysis,” Bombardier o ff ered in a statement. “This six-year exercise set a precedent in transparency and accountability, and allowed us to gain valuable insights on the environmental impact of the Global 7500. We have data supporting that, by being powered by GE Passport turbofan engines, the
upcoming EPD.” bombardier.com
