Mother's Day and Father's Day prompt us to thank the moms, dads, grandparents, guardians and other impactful figures who play a positive guiding role in our lives. As a kid, it can be fun to serve the celebrated person breakfast in bed on these days. Here's a simple breakfast tray idea that can be created by kids of various ages with just a little help from another adult. (Don't forget to include kitchen cleaning afterward!) garnish | orange wheel

juice | glass filled only 3/4 full to avoid spilling

or other fruit to garnish the juice

flowers | freshly picked from an outdoor walk the day before

caffiene | coffee prepared & carefully served to preference

utensils | a fork for the toast & a spoon for the yogurt

toast | fried or baked "egg in a nest" toast

bowl | filled with yogurt, granola and ripe berries

bacon | strips laid flat on a pan & cooked in the oven will help avoid splatter burns

note | handwritten letter or drawn pictures

napkin | cloth or paper, folded neatly
