What better way to explore an area than to look at the art it produces? The art of West Michigan showcases the impressive talents of the many artists who call this area home. Local galleries are a great place to find rotating exhibits from area artists throughout the year, such as LowellArts near Grand Rapids, or the Oliver Art Center in Frankfort. You’ll also find nationally-renowned works of art in some of our area museums, like the Muskegon Museum of Art, and the Dennos Museum Center in Traverse City. West Michigan is an area which celebrates the arts, with seasonal events including the Lakeshore Art Festival in Muskegon each summer, and the Krasl Art Fair on the Bluff each fall in St. Joseph.
