The lineup for Pro Bono Week 2018 includes the following:

Monday, October 22– Voting Access Chicago. This event will encourage volunteer participation on Election Day (Nov. 6) to help ensure that Chicago polling places are accessible to voters with disabilities as well as older adults. The session will be presented by representatives from Equip for Equality, a non-partisan initiative that works to ensure voter accessibility. From 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Chicago Bar Association, 321 S. Plymouth Court. Tuesday, October 23– Justice: An Evening of Stories and Community. This unique “story slam” will feature shared stories and conversation related to the theme of justice. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Revolution Brewing, 2323 N. Milwaukee Ave. Wednesday, October 24– Addressing the Hidden Impact of Evictions. A discussion built around Matthew Desmond’s book“Evicted,”which explores the far- reaching consequences of an eviction and how the process negatively affects families and can lead to neighborhood destabilization. Chicago legal advocates will discuss efforts underway to address the problems associated with eviction. From 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Ropes & Gray LLP, 191W. Wacker. Friday, October 26– Breakfast with Judges. Members of the judiciary will provide their perspective on pro bono work. Opening remarks will be followed by roundtable discussions led by members of the federal and state judiciary. From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. at Holland & Knight LLP, 131 S. Dearborn. The events are all complimentary and are open to Chicago-area law students, attorneys, and other legal professionals.
