2024
At this year’s Back to the Fifties Car Show in St. Paul, MN, we put on a drawing contest for the children which turned out to be a huge success. The kids had a blast and the judges had a very hard time picking the top three winners for 2 age categories. Congrats to the winners and runner-ups as you all did an amazing job. Now time to share the Mini-Artists entries!

Thank Hi I was sidetracked by memory lane and went online to search to see if anyone had ever done a digital disc of the old magazine when I discovered this site. Wow, ok I will be honest. I'm just a tiny bit nervous about buying back issues because this seems too awesome to be true. Im 58 and while going through some old boxes I found a very old issue of the magazine and thats what got me wondering. Is it all old stuff or is it restarted? V. Patterson We are fresh and new since we started. With many of the original artists along with new ones, expect new content from them in each issue of CARtoons. Hope this helps.
Coupon code you sent me is not working. E. Dover

Thank you for sharing your story. We can’t say it enough as each memory we hear from the fans of CARtoons, pushes us even harder to keep this amazing magazine alive for many many years. Dear Cartoons Magazine, Just recently discovered that the magazine is back. Sorry it took so long but very thankful it's back again. I've got back issues from 1980-84 as I was in high school at the time and religiously sought out Cartoons at my local corner store every month. Used to pick up an issue and read at the high school parking lot in my 69' Ford Gran Torino fastback before class. Of course my friends would always want to borrow it, but it never left the backseat of the car. My back issues are stored away in the garage, boxed, bagged & boarded and on occasion I re-read them and still enjoy the great artwork and stories. Fast forward to today in my mid-50s; mortgage, family/kids, pandemic, and the final innings of my career, I'm looking forward to receiving issue # 1 back issue and new subscription. The 69' Gran Torino is long gone (yeah, I'm kicking myself) but the memories remain. Sincerely, R. Toledo Hey, my name is E. Burleson. I'm 14 years old. You guys featured one of my drawings in issue 44 mini wheels section. I was 10 when I drew the 56 Ford Victoria that was published. I wanted to share some of my more recent work with you. I live in Concord North Carolina. Thanks for the cool magazine! E. Burleson It is awesome to see you are still illustrating as your talent has deiniftely imporved throughout the years. Keep up the great work and everyone should check his artwork out on Pg 9.
Beyond thrilled that I just discovered CARtoons is back! I was a subscriber for that final year from ‘90-‘91 and it was an amazing window for an 11-yr-old me to learn about car culture and art. Subscribed today! Unfortunately I saw too late that there’s a promo code to be entered for the Week 4 giveaway, so if there’s any way I could be put into that running that would be great. Not trying to skirt the rules, just excited! Thanks for what you do! W. Dunkley
Great to see original subscribers back to read the new CARtoons. As for coupon code, try: cartoonsten
To art submissions editor (or to who may concern): It’s been ages since I've read (and submitted any art to) CARtoons Magazine until I found your page on Facebook. After a couple local classic car show festivals, it sparked my interest to look up the old Cartoons magazine collection stored in the garage. A very fun read and great work by Dennis Ellefson, George Trosley and all time favorite Shawn Kerri. Anyhow attached’s my CAR-toon submission Cheers and have a wonderful day. R. Pulido. Nothing better then hearing positive memories about CARtoons. Thanks for reaching out and definietly for sharing your talent which can be seen on Pg.19!
