THE COSMETOLOGY PROGRAM AT BRIDGE CITY HIGH SCHOOL IS RUN BY MRS. JESSICA JONES. Mrs. Jones has 19 years of industry experience that she brings to our students and is constantly refreshing her skills so our students are learning the most cutting edge techniques available. Cosmetology is a 3 year endorsement program that starts in students’ Sophomore year with Intro to Cosmetology. This program, in its entirety, will help students learn not only skills needed to build a clientele but also sanitation and safety precautions to ensure they can protect themselves in a workplace. This year Cosmetology Students are also earning dual credit through Lamar State College Orange. This provides students with 1 year of business school experience when they leave high school in addition to the Cosmetology certification received if requirements are completed. Bridge City Cosmetology offers many services to the students and community twice a week with services ranging from a simple blowdry and style to color services and textures services. They also offer nail services and men’s haircuts. Graduates from Bridge City Cosmetology have become successful cosmetologists and salon owners in the surrounding areas with a strong clientele base and a continual growing business.
