#UKLawProfResearch Highlight Professor John Blevins recently published an article, Retaliation by Raised Eyebrow , in the Georgia Law Review. The article examines the FCC’s recent use of its informal enforcement powers against media companies. He argues that the FCC is using these powers in an unprecedented way to retaliate against perceived unfavorable media coverage. The threats to the Jimmy Kimmel show were only one example of a much larger pattern of behavior that has been criticized in a bipartisan way. He argues that the FCC's actions threaten core First Amendment freedoms of speech and the press. YOU CAN FIND THE ARTICLE HERE: https://papers.ssrn. com/sol3/papers.cfm?abstract_id=5503698.
