Grab some peanuts and Cracker Jack as we go to the “old ball game” and look at the early history of the national pastime in Bergen County. Once upon a time, someone picked up something that resembled a ball and a stick . . . and play ensued. In history, there are about 120 games that have similarities to baseball as we know it.
