Carl has more than a decade of experience working with self-funded clients and has a focus on developing multi-year benefits strategies, managing clients’ healthcare programs, and ensuring a smooth delivery for all aspects of a benefits program. Prior to joining Alliant, Carl was principal with a global consulting firm. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Quinnipiac University located in Hamden, Connecticut. Rick Kahle has joined Alliant as senior vice president within its Employee Benefits Group. As a team leader in the Kansas City marketplace, Kahle will work with a broad range of clients across the region to create, implement, and manage employee benefits solutions that meet today’s complex busi ness challenges and address the needs of employees. Kahle has more than 25 years of experience in employee benefits consulting and brokerage. In 2019, he co-founded a firm that combines executive-level marketing, business development and business strategy to provide simple, smart, and afford able growth solutions for clients. Kahle helped build and lead two global insurance brokerage and consulting firms. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. Dan Bjornlie has joined Alliant as vice president within its Employee Benefits Group. Based in Minneapolis, Bjornlie will work with a broad range of clients across the region to develop and implement a full spectrum of employee benefits solutions aimed at addressing the challenges facing orga nizations and individuals. Bjornlie joins Alliant with more than a decade of experience developing, implementing, and managing the benefits programs that can help businesses drive success. Bjornlie’s benefits experience includes working with alternative funding strategies, M&A, analytics, pharma cy, compliance and population health management. Prior to joining Alliant, Bjornlie worked with a global insurance brokerage and consulting firm. Before that, he played profes sional hockey in Europe and later coached hockey at Bethel University. Boston Mutual Life Insurance Company has announced the appointment of Anna Vratsinas as regional sales director for South Florida in its Distribution and Business Development department. In her new role, Vratsinas will be responsible for workplace sales in the Southern Florida region for the life insurance carrier.
Vratsinas brings seven years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Boston Mutual Life, she worked as a broker development coordinator at Aflac, where she focused on broker development, sales strategies and enrollment co ordination. Vratsinas holds a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago, Illinois, and a master’s degree in library and information sci ence from Dominican University in River Forest, Illinois. She is active in her community and is involved with the Children’s Light Foundation, Leadership 100, Royal Dames of Cancer Research, and Hellenic Professional Women Inc. LTC Global Inc. has announced the promotion of Rick Maholchic to head of life insurance distribution and Tim Smith to chief marketing officer. Maholchic will continue to serve as president of Pacific Southwest Financial & Insur ance Services, and Smith will continue to serve as president of Charles T. Smith Insurance Agency and Charles T. Smith Companies of Florida (together, the Smith Companies). Smith succeeds company founder Mark Dinsmore as chief marketing officer. Dinsmore has taken the role of chief strategy officer. In his new role, Maholchic will oversee LTC Global’s life in surance distribution business. Maholchic has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry, including 18 years with The Hartford in various sales executive roles. Prior to joining
