PEOPLE ON THE MOVE Guardian Life recently announced Jonathan Mayhew as head of group benefits, reporting to
grand and Company and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island. He holds both a BS in business administration & marketing and an MBA degree from the University of Rhode Island. Modern Healthcare has recognized Healthfirst President and CEO Pat Wang as one of 2022’s Top Diversity Leaders. She maintains an active voice in healthcare policy. From 2016 to 2022 she served as a commissioner on the Medicare Payment Advisory Commis sion (MedPAC), which advises Congress on Medicare payment policy. She is also a member of the Federal Reserve Bank Second District Community Advisory Board and a trustee of the Citizens Budget Commission, a non-partisan, non-profit civic organization focused on the well-be ing of New Yorkers. Wang also serves on the boards of directors of America’s Health
in finance and marketing from the Univer sity of Maryland, and he holds the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA) certification. IOA has also added Evan Gilroy to its employee benefits team. Evan’s focus primarily will be on of experience in the industry, Evan has substantial expertise in helping clients navigate the many layers of employee benefits while developing custom solutions to meet their needs. His first 10 years were spent working for two of the largest writers of group insurance in the country. In this capacity, he was able to develop a great understanding of back-of-house operations relative to implementation, underwriting negotiations, and the complex claims adjudication process. Evan earned his Bachelor of Science degree from California Lutheran University. Centivo has announced that Jim Gallagher has joined the firm as chief marketing offi cer, a new position. Gallagher will assume leadership responsibility for all marketing and sales operations functions. He will also become a member of the executive lead ership team and report to Centivo’s chief operating officer, Marc Backon. Gallagher brings with him more than 25 years of healthcare industry experi ence and success. He joins Centivo from Point32Health, where he served as vice president—marketing, product strategy and administration and was responsible for marketing, go-to-market strategy and brand positioning for the firm’s commercial business. Earlier in his career, Gallagher held senior marketing, sales and strategy roles of increasing responsibility at Lan growing the Southern California presence of IOA. With nearly 20 years

Most recently, Jonathan was CEO of Ontrak and previously served as chief transformation officer at CVS Health. In prior roles, Jon athan led strategy, business development, product marketing and field operations, including sales and account management of dental and disability products. veteran Brad Sutliffe to its growing employee ben efits team. Brad will focus primarily on growing IOA’s presence in the mid-Atlantic area, including Delaware, Maryland, Virginia and Washington DC. With nearly 20 years of industry expe rience, Brad provides expert consultation to human resources professionals and business owners for their employee benefits programs, helping employers navigate the complex and ever-changing world of employee benefits. His concentration is on businesses in the 50- to 500-employee market space, and he serves the self-funded arena, where he is able to analyze data in depth.
