SHOTGUN WEDDING As one of the brewery’s year round core offerings, this English brown ale ($10.99, six-pack cans) is aged on vanilla beans and comes in at an extremely enjoyable 5.5 percent alcohol by volume. Don’t let its low ABV trick you. Shotgun Wedding’s abundant vanilla fla vors are balanced out thanks to its roasted malt body. COUGAR BAIT Easily the brewery’s smooth est selection is this blonde ale ($10.99, six-pack cans) that comes in at 4.9 percent alcohol by volume. It’s brewed with Munich malts, delivering in stride as a balanced light option with subtle hop presence for all occasions, wherever the day may take you. OKTOBERFEST In time for the festivities, this seasonal release ($10.99, six pack cans) starts things off with one of the best styles of the year. The aptly named offering is brewed with both German hops and yeast while utilizing American malts to create a full bodied 4.5 percent alcohol by volume lager with sweet caramel richness that admirers have grown to appreciate from the style.
While most local beer drinkers know neigh boring Kentucky for Lexington Brewing & Distilling Co. and its classic Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale, the Bluegrass State is also the home of another top craft brewery — Country Boy Brewing. Over a decade ago in 2012, four Kentucky residents founded the brewery. Country Boy Brewing runs one of the largest production breweries in Kentucky. While the brew ery first began operations in Lexington, expansion grew five years later to a larger brewhouse in Georgetown featuring a pro duction facility, taproom and offices. In June a third location opened in downtown Louisville. Later this month, this Kentucky favorite debuts on store shelves in central and northern Ohio with exciting Country Boy Brewing releases that craft beer fanatics can look forward to trying.
