IN MEMORIAM

Tracy Tarbell was an aspiring 46er who passed away in March 2022 from an unexpected heart condi tion. Tracy was pursuing the high peaks with his wife, Tamara, and son, Conor. With only six mountains remaining on Tracy’s 46er jour ney (Santanoni and the Dix range), Conor wore Tracy’s hiking boots over the remaining six mountains in honor of his father’s memory and to finish their goal of becoming 46ers together. Tamara Tarbell, #14414, and Conor Tarbell, #14413, became 46ers in September 2022 on Dix Mountain. We honor Tracy’s 46er spirit and enthusiasm for living life to the fullest. * * * *Correction: In the previous PEEKS issue, we identified Frank Traver with the wrong 46er number. He was #2341.
