LIVING ARRANGEMENTS: Living arrangements vary by site. National sites usually have a community house in each site. International placements vary from the host-family model to the community house model with other volunteers. SIZE OF PROGRAM: 70-100 volunteers program-wide; 3-8 volunteers per site group. TRAINING: Program orientation; local site orientations; transition retreat upon completion of the service year. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Applications open on October 1st. Final date to apply for international sites is March 1st. Final date to apply for national sites is June 1st. ***YAV places candidates as they apply in a rolling-admissions model. The earlier candidates apply to more site options they will have.

LENGTH OF SERVICE: One year placements, renewable for a second year. REQUIREMENTS: 19-30 years old; interest in exploring Christian identity. FINANCIAL ARRANGEMENTS: Volunteers commit to fundraising $4,000 (national placement) or $5,000 (international placement). Church and site cover the remaining portion.
