Firebird Crabapple shows superior fruiting qualities. It has small, red fruit slightly less than ½" in diameter. Firebird Crabapple fruit remain hard and colorful late into the winter. A neat, compact, rounded crab with tiny, dark green leaves. Ruby red flower buds open to a showy semi- double pink flower. The fruit is ½" and reddish orange.
