A trademarked selection developed at McKay Nursery. A shrub/small multi-trunked tree, with a dense, more oval, upright branching form than the species. Blue Muffin® Viburnum is a more compact selection of Arrowwood Viburnum known for its tremendous fruit display. Creamy white summer flowers are followed by blue fruit in late summer. Chicago Lustre is a good pollinator. May be trimmed after flowering (leave flowers for fall berries.) Native. Deer resistant. Fruit is good for birds but not humans. 5-7' Zones 3-7 MAY
A tough as nails Arrowwood Viburnum that grows to only about half of the size of regular Viburnum dentatum. Adaptable to most conditions including drought, partial shade and even tolerates salt. Nice creamy white flower clusters in June give way to blue- black fruit. Typical rounded leaves are dark green during the growing season. Fall color is purplish very late in the season. 4-5' Zones 4-7 JUN
Abundant clusters of rounded white flowers are noted for their extremely sweet fragrance. This rounded shrub has a thick, oval leaf and will perform best in full sun or partial shade. Excellent red-purple fall color. Every landscape needs one of these. We recommend this plant only for southern Wisconsin and Illinois, as it can experience winter damage further north. 4-6' Zones 5-7 APR-MAY
