White to creamy-white flowers borne in profusion well into fall. Dark-green foliage stays clean throughout the season. Withstands heat stress. Delivers a good "show" all season long. Leaves are 1" by 2½", usually elliptic, leathery and dark green. Foliage changes to a plum-purple in fall, persisting through winter. Flowers are a spectacular bright lavender-pink, covering the rounded plant in late April. Prefers adequate drainage and does well with the protection of an eastern exposure. Needs acidic, moist, well-drained soils. Does best in part shade. 3-6' Zones 4-7 APR
