Good exposure can be difficult to attain inside a gymnasium, but the photographer did an excellent job of it in this image. Following the rule of thirds, using depth of field, and the good saturation and nice contrast lead to an excellent candid photo that captures a moment between a mascot and player. The smiling man and balloons in the background give additional context to this powerful team spirit photo. In one image, the photographer captured the relationship between two friends who share a love of the sport.
