ORGANIZATIONS STRONG ORGANIZATIONS OR CLUBS SECTIONS ALSO NEED THE EMPHASIS ON THE INDIVIDUALS WHO COMPRISE ALL OF THE SCHOOL-SPONSORED GROUPS • Include the human interest stories from the students’ perspectives. • Use lots of quotes to reveal students’ interests in their organizations. • Discover the reasons for belonging. • Concentrate on the activities of the groups rather than on the goals or purposes. • Group like activities of different organizations together for coverage, thereby not excluding less active clubs. • Use the feature approach to coverage. • With the right story angle, club coverage can appeal to members and non-members. • Avoid posed pictures.
