NRCS ASSISTANCE FOR REMOTE WATERING FACILITIES

Ranchbot water monitoring applies for NRCS grants through Conservation Practice Standard (CPS) 374 and CPS 614. If a producer already has a watering facility and would like to add a water lever monitor, they can visit their local NRCS office and inquire about this particular CPS enhancement. Ranchbot water monitoring solutions are enabled by Viasat’s satellite network, which has global coverage for the most remote operations. For CPS 374 to be contracted under EQIP, the producer must already have a watering facility in place. CPS 374 provides an incentive for installing a remote water level monitor to be more energy efficient. So, producers can get financial assistance for remote water level monitors through either EQIP or CSP.
