Winter on the VX Ranch projects that we are hoping to com plete this year. Completed evening chores and called it a day! SUNDAY, JANUARY 12 telephone company guy met us at Grandma’s house to fix her landline. The mice had chewed through a wire underneath the house. We shuttled into town to pick up a truck that we had fixed. Took care of several small projects both at the home site and at a neighboring place we look after up the road from ours. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15
After morning chores it was a Bozeman for supplies day. Groceries and ranch supplies in addition to a stop at the ag lender were on the books. Generally a Bozeman trip is an all day effort, and the goal is usually to make it back before dark to do chores. MONDAY, JANUARY 13 We ended up getting a decent amount of snow so after morning chores today, it was an all day plow effort. TUESDAY, JANUARY 14 Started the morning with chores. It was a ranch errands day. The local
Just like every day, the day begins with chores. Feed the dogs, horses, and cows. Check water tanks. After that it’s breakfast and some office work. Forest service reports for graz ing allotments and mid month item ized expense updating. The afternoon consisted of preparing for the impend ing cold spell. Temperatures over the next few days are set to hit -20.
