THE WILLIS WILDKAT BOYS’ BASKETBALL TEAM HAD A HISTORIC SEASON TO START OFF THE WINTER SEMESTER. COACH JEREMY CLARK HAD A MAGICAL RUN AS SJ YOUNG, CHANDLER BEASLEY, JERMAINE BISHOP AND BRYCE BASS LED THE ‘KATS TO A SECOND-PLACE FINISH IN DISTRICT PLAY. LUCA AND TRISTAN RIOS ALSO MADE SCHOOL HISTORY BY ADVANCING TO THE UIL STATE WRESTLING MEET AND PLACING FOURTH AND SIXTH, RESPECTIVELY. THE POWERLIFTING TEAM SAW 10 GIRLS AND EIGHT BOYS ADVANCE TO THE REGIONAL MEET, WHILE DIVER KESLEY WEDDINGTON FINISHED 11TH AT THE UIL STATE MEET. GIRLS SOCCER WAS COMPETITIVE IN A TOUGH DISTRICT ON THE EDGE OF A PLAYOFF BERTH. HERE ARE SOME OF THE OTHER STARS OF THE WINTER SEASON.
