THE CRUSADER BASEBALL TEAM HAD ANOTHER MAGICAL SEASON, GOING 24-5 OVERALL AND 10-2 TO WIN TAPPS DISTRICT 4-DI. They were just getting started as Concordia Lutheran knocked off San Antonio Christian to reach the State Tournament at the University of Texas-Arlington. Leading the way were first-team, all-state selections Sean Fitzpatrick (Arkansas), Alex Petrovic (Auburn-commit) and Nolan Traeger (TCU-commit). Zachary Daigre was an all state, honorable mention. All four were first-team, all-district selections. Douglas Pieri, Jax Traeger (TCU), Michael Herndon and Christian Kurtz were named second teamers.

THE CRUSADERS HAD A SOLID YEAR ON THE LINKS. Concordia Lutheran girls team played well in the Regional Tournament but fell short by three shots to advance to State as a team. Junior Abby Plagens and sophomore Avery Csernik did advance to the State Tournament and both will return next season with hopes as leading their entire team to the end of the year event . Plagens finished 16th at State. On the boys side, the Crusaders reached the Regionals but didn’ t have any member reach the State event .

BATTER UP. The Concordia Lutheran softball team reached the postseason after going 9-13-2 on the season. The ‘Saders fell to Incarnate Word of San Antonio in the first round. The postseason awards came pouring in. Courtney Mosemann and Meryl Eaves earned first-team and academic all-state honors. Freshman Faith Keiper made all-district , second-team, while Georgia Marlow, Caly Hardy, Kaitlyn Battista and Reece Ivanovsky were honorable mentions.
