Agriculture

Concordia’s Agriculture program strives to grow, teach, and transform their members into stewards of their community with a mission of promoting leadership, personal growth, and successful career choices. Concordia Lutheran 4-H/FFA participates in various projects related to agriculture. These projects showcase the members’ talents through community service, stewardship, and competitions. The Agriculture program at Concordia began in 2015 and now boasts over 200 students participating each year. In 2021-2022, Concordia enjoyed having three full-time ag advisors to help support their many activities. During the 2021-2022 School Year, over 200 students participated in the Agriculture program and 75 students participated in FFA/4-H.

Competition results: • State Fair of Texas Grand Champion and Rodeo Houston Reserve Grand Champion Genesis Bow in Archery • Reserve State Champion Female Sporting Clays Team at 2022 FFA Ag Clays State Tournament • 3rd place Overall Female American Trap as well as Mixed Sporting Clays teams at 2022 FFA Ag Clays State Tournament • 4-H Archery Indoor State Genesis Bow Champions • 4-H Archery Outdoor 3D 2nd Place Female • Regional Qualifier for Texas High School Bass Fishing • San Antonio Stock Show Open Trap Lewis Class 2 Champion • Numerous Top 5 Placings for the Vet Med Team at Invitational Contests • $25,000+ in earned Scholarships for livestock and shooting sports
