2023-2024 Program Highlights

Shotgun 12 members of the Concordia Shotgun Team came home with seven banners (top 5 finish) at the Texas FFA 2024 State Shotgun Tournament. The State competition included shooters from 30 different FFA programs across Texas. Concordia was the only private school to compete in all four of the shooting disciplines (Sporting Clays, Super Sporting, Trap, and Doubles Trap). Concordia finished tied for the top school with the most banners at State (seven) with Poth FFA. The Crusaders seven banners were earned as follows: • Mixed Super Sporting - State Champions

Bass Fishing Sam Harris ’27 and Luke Staley ’27 qualified for the 2023-2024 Texas High

• Double Trap - State Runner-Up • Female Super Sporting - 3rd Place • Male Super Sporting - 4th Place • Mixed Trap - 4th Place

School Bass Association State Competition after they finished 8th overall out of 170 teams at the Lake Conroe Tournament with a weigh in of 15.31 lbs. Vet Science Emily Smith ’24, Jayden Schoppe ’24, Blythe Brooks ’24, and Carys Driskill ’26 Veterinary State Texas FFA CDE giving CLHS a team represented at the state competition for the second consecutive school year. The Crusaders finished in 26th. place out of 308 schools! FFA Leadership Carson Miller ’25 was honored with the selection of FFA Texas North District Officer appointment as Treasurer for the upcoming 24-25 school year. Livestock Tyler Jeansonne ’24 got 3rd in his class at the Waller County Fair and made sale. all qualified for the State Competition of the 2024

• Mixed Sporting Clays - 5th Place • Female Sporting Clays - 5th Place Individually, Blythe Brooks ’24 also had two amazing finishes over the course of the school year: • 2023 Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo Jr. Shooting Sports Competition Scholarship • 3rd Place at the 2024 San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo Junior Shoot-Out in the Open Girls FFA Sporting Clays competition
