CONCORDIA LUTHERAN DOMINATED ON THE DIAMOND THIS SPRING. WHAT ELSE IS NEW? A year after reaching the TAPPS State Semis, Concordia Lutheran proceeded to go on an absolute tear in the 2023 regular season, finishing with a 31-2 record and the district title (11-1). Under the direction of third-year coach Royce Kennedy, CLHS had an arsenal of playmakers in Alex Petrovic, Eoghan Collins, Cole Lanclos, Ronin McCraw, Nolan Traeger, Michael Herndon and more, who brought the team back to the State Tourney for the ninth-consecutive season. Unfortunately for the Crusaders, they narrowly fell to Trinity Christian in a 4-3 nail biter, just one game shy of the championship. Despite that, don’t expect the team to slow down in the slightest a year from now. The State Tournament is the standard, and with all the talent coming back in 2024, count on Concordia Lutheran to make another run to reclaim their 2015 championship status.
