THE ALDINE BOYS SOCCER TEAM HAD A WILDLY SUCCESSFUL SEASON IN 2022. Coach Melbin Barahona was named the District Coach of the Year, Junior Matute was the co-Offensive Player of the Year and Christopher Gomez was the Keeper of the Year. All three will be back in the fold in 2023 as the ‘Stangs try and win a District 14-6A title and advance deep into the postseason. Others to take note of include attacker Oscar Lemus (second-teamer), David Barcenas and Rafael Espinoza.
