By Ryan Rogers TOP 10 FACTORS TO CONSIDER Purchasing Development Land WHEN If you’re in the market to purchase a piece of land, especially with plans to build a home or commercial property, there are many things you will want to consider. Here are 10 important factors to keep in mind:

1. How many acres do you need? Walk a few properties to get a feel for what an acre, five or ten feels like to understand how you might best use that space. 2. Zoning. Check with the township or county to verify you can use the land as you want, whether that is to have animals, grow crops or build outbuildings. 3. Do your inspections. Get the soil testing done so that you know what type of onsite septic is needed.
