PNGs Another type of image format is Portable Network Graphics (PNGs). One advantage of saving images in the 24-bit PNG format is that they support transparencies automatically. That is, they support clipping paths such as the type you can make in Photoshop. No special techniques are necessary; no workpaths need to be created the way they do when you are saving JPEGs or TIFFs.
