USING THE PORTRAIT CENTER TO UPLOAD PORTRAITS Portrait Center is a plug-in created by Walsworth that allows you to import, view, edit and flow your portrait images on to the page. Portrait Center contains all the tools for adding your portrait CD, editing student information, adjusting layout settings and flowing portraits in one palette. After Walsworth’s Enhancements are installed, the Portrait Center palette should open automatically the first time a user opens InDesign and it will appear below the Control Center. If Portrait Center doesn’t automatically open or is closed at any time, it can be found and opened using the steps below or from the Walsworth Control Center. 1. Click the InDesign Window menu . 2. Go to Extensions . 3. Click on Portrait Center to open the palette. UPLOADING PORTRAITS Users will be able to upload folders of portrait images easily within the Portrait Center palette. Use the steps below. 1. Click the Add Portraits button in the Portrait Center. 2. Click the Choose disk or folder button. 3. Navigate to the location on your computer where your portrait folder is and click Open. 4. A window will open showing you a preview list of the students you are uploading. When you are finished reviewing the list, you can click Continue with Import to proceed or Cancel Import to go back. 5. Once the upload begins, a status window will appear to notify you that your portraits are being uploaded and a status bar will show the progress. 6. When the upload is finished, you will have buttons with the option to Close and return to the Portrait Center main menu, Add more portraits in another upload, or Proceed to the Student Editor.
