International Relief CREC linemen have also volunteered to help with bringing power to cities in need across the globe. In 2008, Mark Ziegler and Craig Larkin joined three other Missouri linemen from Boone Electric Cooperative and another lineman from Valley Electric Association in Nevada and journeyed 7,600 miles to Yei, Sudan. Serving as volunteers with the NRECA International Foundation, the gentlemen spent three weeks with local linemen and other co-op volunteers on a project to help rebuild the community
