THE OKLAHOMA OFFICE OF THE ATTORNEY GENERAL is seeking attorneys for our Consumer Protection Unit. The Attorney General’s Consumer Protection Unit (CPU) is responsible for enforcing state and federal laws that protect consumers from fraudulent, deceptive, and unfair business practices. CPU attorneys engage in both criminal prosecution and civil litigation to enforce the Oklahoma Consumer Protection Act, the Oklahoma Antitrust Reform Act, and statutes regulating charitable organizations, telemarketing, data privacy, and price gouging. In addition, CPU attorneys often collabo rate with their counterparts in other states to investigate unlawful practices that occur on a regional or national scale. OKLAHOMA INDIGENT DEFENSE SEEKING ATTORNEYS

The Oklahoma Indigent Defense System (OIDS) is seeking applicants for Attorney (Defense Counsel) positions in our Non-Capital Trial Division satellite offices. OIDS employs Defense Counsel in each of our nine NCT satellite offices: Altus, Clinton, Enid, Guymon, Lawton, Norman, Okmulgee, Sapulpa, and Woodward. Defense Counsel provide clients with competent legal advice and zealous advocacy at every phase of the criminal trial process, while representing indigent individuals in state court at the trial level in felony, misdemeanor, juvenile delinquency, traffic and wildlife cases. Applicants should possess a Juris Doctorate degree, active membership, and good standing with the State Bar of Oklahoma, or eligibility for admission; OR should be scheduled to take the Oklahoma Bar Exam. Salary for this position starts at $66,900; commensurate with qualifications and agency salary schedule.
