Get hands-on instruction from Nora Brunnett, the founding baker of Nora’s Ovenworks, as she shows you how to take a recipe from yesteryear and bring it into modern day. For all levels. Nora’s Ovenworks is known for their amaz- ing cakes and now you can learn from the Founding Baker/Decorator, Nora herself! Make a gorgeous cake from scratch using buttercream you can replicate at home. Nora will guide you through the techniques to get a beautiful finish worthy to present as a center- piece on any table. Improve your Landscape! HG51S20

Learn about the fundamentals of landscape design, as well as a relatively new design philosophy known as “Dutch Wave”. The instructor will share his reasons for the choices he makes, explain the science behind it and discuss how the techniques can be incorporated into existing garden plans. First two classes meet at Mamaroneck High school. Second two sessions are site visits to the gardens of several students (on a first come, first served basis). Please bring a notebook. Matt McMillan is an award-winning landscape designer who has professionally designed and installed residential and commercial projects from Nantucket to South Carolina. He received his MA in Landscape Design from Columbia University. 4 Thursdays: 4/14–5/7
