locals and tourists alike. Inside, the decor is distinctive — cobalt blue sofas, huge Egyptian murals, octopus sculptures and dangling chandeliers. The cuisine is traditional Mediterranean meze-style dishes injected with a dose of Miami, like the Middle Eastern fried chicken with tahini, za’atar and hot sauce. contemporary art, attracting artists and collectors from near and far. Downtown, the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) hosts ever-changing exhibitions that explore a rich variety of themes and mediums, and showcases work from around the globe. The Wynwood Arts District was once a severely neglected industrial neighborhood that has now been transformed into a dynamic artistic enclave with colorful street art, galleries and creative spaces. The Wynwood Walls display the work of renowned street artists in a unique outdoor project. Walking through Wynwood is like walking through an open-air gallery of vivid and frequently changing murals painted onto the walls of various buildings in the neighborhood. And perhaps the most notable art event is Art Basel Miami Beach, which happens every December. The fair celebrates both established and emerging artists and showcases an incredible array of artwork.
always something going on in the Magic City —from the dreamy beaches and superb dining to high-end boutiques and a fascinating art scene — and not forgetting the famed nightlife. The sun-soaked city is undoubtedly glam, but it is also seriously fun — and no two visits are ever quite the same.
