Keith Stumbo of New York was recognized as the Distinguished Pro ducer Award winner along with his wife, Kathy. Their two daughters surprised them in Arizona for the award luncheon.

Tom Boyer's efforts to push the industry forward through genetics and genomics was recognized when he received the Industry Innova tion Award.

Matt Reese of the Ohio Country Journal earned the Shepherd's Voice Award for his efforts to tell the sheep industry's story in the Buckeye state. Reese also raises a few sheep of his own.

James Miller, Ph.D., won the Peter Orwick Camptender Award. He was unable to attend the ceremony, so Joan Burke, Ph.D., accepted on his behalf and was joined in the photo by friends of Miller.

Burton Pfliger of North Dakota and Leo Tammi of Virginia were recognized for their time on the NSIIC Board of Directors.

Oregon's Reed Anderson was honored as the outgoing president of the National Lamb Feeder's Association.
