Fahrmeier Focuses On The Future

The National Sheep Improvement Program Executive Committee announced in mid-June that David Scales has accepted the role as executive director. He will begin his duties full-time this month working from his home in Charlotte, Mich.

Sitting in the living room of the home his grandparents retired in, Lynn Fahrmeier talks of spending his entire life – except for four years of college at the University of Missouri – in a 200-yard radius of Fahrmeier Farms.

The proposed Farm Bill text released by House Committee on Agriculture Chairman Glenn “GT” Thompson (Penn.) in mid-May addresses critical needs of the American sheep industry, earning praise from industry leaders.

Two hours from any town you’ve heard of and four hours from Kansas City and St. Louis, the Cabriejo Ranch is well on its way to becoming the center of American lamb production in the Eastern half of the United States.
