BUSINESS SPOTLIGHT
Looking to get crafty with colorful, on-trend projects such as tie dye, beading, pom pom making, and embroidery? SOMA-based mobile & virtual craft studio The Neon Tea Party has you covered! The Neon Tea Party offers so many ways for kids and adults here in our community to tap into their creativity. With “Party” in their name, TNTP specializes in helping you celebrate any occasion with an unforgettable craft party, offering both in-person and virtual options. You may have even tie dyed with them this summer at the Alden Place Block Party in Maplewood or Orange Lawn Tennis Club’s end-of-summer celebration! If you’re interested in crafting on your own, The Neon Tea Party sells joyful craft kits and supplies that go hand-in-hand with an extensive library of tutorials, all found on their website theneonteaparty.com. Local customers can place craft supply orders online and enjoy free pickup from TNTP’s South Orange HQ. Founded by Livingston native Marisa Morrison Stein, The Neon Tea Party relocated from Manhattan to South Orange last year in the midst of the pandemic. After 4 years of building the business from her apartment, Marisa and her husband Sam chose South Orange as the new TNTP home. With more space, they’ve been able to grow the business and their family. “I’ve always been inspired by the creativity that lives in SOMA - in its people and businesses,” Marisa shares. “We hope to eventually open a craft studio here in town as a creative hub for all ages, but in the meantime, we have an incredible team of craft teachers ready to bring the party to you - at your home, business, or online. We can’t wait to get crafty with you!”
