MEGHAN DOYLE LEGACY EVENT EMPOWERING FUTURES: THE 11TH ANNUAL MSDA MEGHAN DOYLE ‘05K

Mount St. Dominic Academy in Caldwell, NJ, gears up for the 11th Annual MSDA Meghan Doyle ‘05K on Saturday, May 3, 2025. This beloved event brings together runners, walkers, and supporters for a morning rich with community, remembrance, and philanthropy. Meghan Doyle, a 2005 graduate who passed away in 2013 after a brief illness, inspired the event. Her legacy lives on through this event, which not only celebrates her life but also supports the school’s Tuition Assistance Program. “Meghan dreamed of reconnecting with her alma mater and running a 5K,” shares Kathy Sullivan, a spokesperson for the academy. “This event embodies her spirit by helping students access the education Meghan cherished.” Since its inception in 2015, the ‘05K has raised nearly $300,000 for student assistance. Participants can choose from three options. The Live ‘05K kicks off at 9:30 AM on campus, offering cash prizes for top male and female finishers and awards for the top three in each age category. For younger participants, the Kids’ Fun Run, slated for 9:00 AM, welcomes children aged 10 and under to join at no cost. Those unable to attend in person can participate in the Virtual ‘05K, running their race anywhere between May 3 and May 9. “The virtual race allows supporters from all over the world to honor Meghan and contribute to her mission,” Sullivan notes.
