This month, we introduce Marvin and Rene Clawson, the dynamic duo behind Clawson Architects and Clawson Cabinets, located in downtown Maplewood Village. Their journey stands out due to their commitment to innovative design and a deep connection to their community.

The couple draws inspiration from Maplewood’s beautiful homes and diverse architectural styles. The idea to establish their business came when they realized they could maintain a work-life balance and be actively involved parents while staying connected to their community. “Starting our firm here allowed us to create and innovate in the NYC metro area while staying close to home,” Marvin reflects.

At Clawson Architects, the team takes pride in transforming residential spaces with

elegance and functionality. “Our goal is to enhance our clients’ lives through sustainable solutions that respect the environment and contribute positively to the built world,” says Marvin Clawson. With 25 years of experience, they’ve built a reputation for blending timeless details with modern amenities, far beyond the typical home addition.
