Meet Sophie Frankenberg, a sixth-grader at Maplewood Middle School, who is quickly making her mark as a bud ding musician. At just 12 years old, Sophie is already pro ficient in guitar, dedicating seven years to mastering this in strument. “I like learning how to play songs that I love,” she shares, showcasing her passion for music, inspired by artists like Taylor Swift. Sophie’s musical journey doesn’t stop with the guitar. She is eager to diversify her skills by taking voice lessons and learning to play the drums, electric guitar, and trumpet. Her ambition is as varied as her musical tastes, promising an ex citing future in music. Outside of her musical pursuits, Sophie is an avid reader, particularly fond of The Hunger Games series. “I love read ing books and listening to music,” she says, highlighting her penchant for creativity. She also enjoys drawing and fash ion design, rounding out her artistic interests. At school, Sophie excels in English Language Arts (E.L.A.), her favorite subject. Although she admires musical icons like Taylor Swift, Maisie Peters, and Girl in Red, Sophie is eager to forge her own path in the world of music and creativity. With such a rich array of talents and interests, Sophie Fran kenberg is well on her way to becoming a versatile artist, ready to explore every note and melody in her musical jour ney. Her story is just beginning, and it promises to be as compelling as the music she loves.
