SOMA Living March 2022
DREAM TEAM
SOMA Living Makeover
SOMA Living is very excited to begin a new feature! In upcoming issues, a transformation of one local resident will make over each month. Below is the SOMA Living “Dream Team” that will make it happen. This group has decades of experience in hair, fashion, photography, wellness and make-up.
Yoni Kreger lives in South Orange with his wife, Rhianna, their three children, two dogs, and one surly cat.
Yoni started his career in Tel Aviv and later moved to New York City as a Senior Stylist at one of NYC’s biggest Salon chains. Later he opened his own salon in SOHO. In 2015, Yoni brought his vision across the Hudson River to establish the
first Yoni Kreger Salon in South Orange, New Jersey. There, he launched the Silk Road Hair Care line of products and built an extraordinary team of exceptional hairstylists, colorists, and client satisfaction representatives. In 2020 he opened a second salon in New Providence. A third salon in Cedar Grove is planned to open later this year.
Kerry Cordero is a Maplewood resident and former NYC personal stylist. She styles women who want to look vibrant, authentic and beautiful in their own essential way. Kerry has fifteen years of expertise in all aspects of personal styling, certification in image consulting at FIT and is the author a deck of cards called Dress Your Dreams.

Jill Cohen , Founder, TheCannaBossLady Boutique Cannabis Enthusiast, Entrepreneur and Educator
Ms. Cohen began her career in the advertising industry. She has over 20 years of experience in business development, building relationships and generating revenue from events. But her true passion has always been for cannabis health
and wellness because she suffered from extreme anxiety and panic attacks from a tumultuous childhood. After several medical tests, her condition remained undiagnosed. It wasn’t until she discovered the all-natural medicine of cannabis that she found relief and healing. This led to an educational journey where she became a Certified CBD Consultant and Brand Ambassador for Theramu, Calliope Jane, and TribeTokes. In 2020, She founded TheCannaBossLady Boutique. The first women-owned storefront in Maplewood Village, New Jersey, along with the website, thecannabosslady.com.
Julie Perlow-Greene , Retail Therapy, is not your typical store owner. A clinical psychologist with a doctorate, she practiced for 12 years prior before shifting her focus to fashion. Of course, the name “Retail Therapy” is a direct nod to her background and has become an integral part of the way Julie approaches her role as shop owner and stylist. This involves an always empathic ear, helping the customer feel comfortable and
secure. Whether it was a mom trying to find a dress for her high school reunion, or the teens from the nearby high school looking for a prom dress, this multi-talented shop owner always rises to the occasion finding just the right look and often at a reasonable price. She has owned and operated the eclectic, stylish boutique with vintage and consignment pieces for six years. Currently she is located in the heart of downtown Maplewood. Soon due to the changing face of retail, Julie will be moving her store to South Orange, to a more private, by appointment setting where she can work intimately with customers to find their specific styles and sizes.
