REAL ESTATE Maplewoodstock, a homage to the original Woodstock Festival of 1969, is returning this year after a two-year covid hiatus. The weekend long festival brings people together through the curation of live music, art, food and good vibes of shared positivity and support towards the community. Being a resident of South Orange for over 20 years, I know there is much to celebrate about our two town’s uniqueness and creative ventures. Maplewoodstock has evolved into becoming a grand medium for showcasing all that our locality has to offer and gives creators a platform to reach the community. I support South Orange and Maplewood’s musicians and artists because I believe our local art reflects the uniqueness and creative richness of our identity. Maplewood and South Orange’s colorful personality is evident through both the upbeat vibrancy of the festival and the attendance of the community. I personally believe what makes Maplewoodstock so special, year after year, is the sense of an unprecedented enthusiasm bustling throughout the festival. When I attend Maplewoodstock, I am surrounded by so many familiar and unfamiliar faces, I am warmed by the pride I feel to belong to such a display of community togetherness. As nostalgia persists after more than 50 years since the first Woodstock festival, I can confidently say that Maplewoodstock has, and will continue to create long lasting memories for the residents of our talented community.
