The team consistently reached base and put pressure on their opponents, boasting an impressive 0.360 batting average and a remarkable 0.477 on-base percentage overall. The Yard Dogs also showcased their defensive prowess with several double-plays throughout the season. With the help of Coach Rafael Cruz, the Yard Dogs are gearing up for the highly anticipated Cooperstown tournament. This prestigious event brings together hundreds of teams from across the nation, offering a platform for young athletes to showcase their skills and create lifelong memories. For the Yard Dogs, it represents a chance to make history as the first team from SOMA to participate in this renowned tournament.
