Foundation held a sold-out event called “Celebrate Maplewood” to honor its founding donors and inaugural grant recipients. The special evening included a live auction that raised an additional $53,300 to bring the first year solicitation efforts to $1.15 million. Another highlight of “Celebrate Maplewood” was the ceremony to present seven nonprofit organizations with checks totaling $50,000. These grants will support the development of new programs or the expansion of agency services. “‘Celebrate Maplewood’ exceeded our expectations,” said Fred Profeta, president of The Maplewood Foundation board. “It gave us an opportunity to highlight the nonprofits that tirelessly serve our community and kick off our 2024 campaign.” To learn more, or support the foundation, please visit www.themaplewoodfoundation.org.
